breeding from young studs

hi question on breeding with young staffy. he is just on 1 year old but doesnt seem to be able to perform the act or know what to do with 5 year old mastiff ...what could be the options here.

Hi Bec. The reason he's not breeding may be because of his age. He's awfully young, and probably inexperienced. I'd let him finish growing, wait until he's at least two years old. He needs time to mature, as all large breeds do. As for breeding him to a Mastiff, that could be the problem as well. That's a huge size difference.
