Question
Is there a website that lists the laws or regulations for selling puppies? such as if they need to be sold with a health guarantee and so on....I currently live in Wisconsin and all i am finding is stuff relating to puppy mill stories...
Also when i got my puppy a couple years ago, I was given a little care package with him. It was from Purina and it was basically a organized folder to keep all his health info, and history in. It also came with a mini bag of dog food and some other stuff. Is there a way or a place to order something like this from Purina to give to buyers when they purchase a puppy? or am I better off putting together my own care package.

Answer
Hi Samantha

Good for you for going the extra mile for your puppies and your potential puppy owners.

The best place to start is contacting your local humane society.  Each country, state, province and country have their own by-laws.

In my opinion, you're better off providing a package that you've made yourself.  When we send a pup home, it leaves here with a bag of food that we recommend, vitamins, health record, health guarantee, vet's business card, harness, leash and a binder of information that pertains to our specific breed.
