pug question...

We have two pugs. A male and female. We noticed that our female, Molly, is in heat. So we have been trying to keep them apart. Last night, however they got tied together. We were really planning on breeding them but is there a possiblity that she could get pregnant from this one time? And if so, how would we be able to tell? Thanks for any help...

Hi. Yes, all it takes is one time. I'm not saying for sure that she is, but it is possible. As for being able to tell, you'll have to wait awhile on that. There is no pregnancy test for dogs like there are for humans. When she is 40 days into her pregnancy, you can have an x-ray done to tell for certain.
