Labor stalled?

Question
Yesterday evening my Lab/Rotweiler mix went into labor.  My hubby went out to feet our two dogs and she was hiding in a hole she'd dug under the back of her dog house.  When she didn't come out to eat he checked it out and she was laying on a puppy.  He came running in the house with this puppy covered in dirt and our bitch at his heels.  The pup was covered in sand and I had to clean lots from it's mouth so it could breath.  We set up a spot in the laundry room for our bitch and gave her back her pup.  It has been about 9 hours since this puppy discovery and she has stopped delivering.  She doesn't even seem uncomfortable but I know she's still full of pups as her last litters were between 8 and 11 pups.  We've never had a problem with her in the past but she's also never started labor outdoors. Although she has had long labors in the past  I'm afraid my hubby trying to help and moving her and the pup may have stalled her labor.  How can I get things going again?  I'm afraid she's going to get sick if I don't help her get things moving along.  Thank you!

Answer
Hi Mandy. I'm hoping that she's done something by now. If not, you need to get her to the vet. Are you positive that there are more puppies in there? It's not that uncommon for a dog to only have one puppy. My best advice for your girl is to get her to the vet. I hope everything is ok.
