Pregnancy size/weight gain?

Question
QUESTION: My 4 lb Yorkie girl seems to be extremely large at what I feel is too early in her term.
She started out as a lean 3 lbs 15.5 oz. She is still lean, but her abdomen area is already so large & tight already, and she is now weighing in at 5 lbs 10.5 oz at day 47. This is her 2nd litter (1st consisted of 2 over sized pups) Already looks like she's going to burst now & much larger now than when she gave birth to last litter at day 64)

My biggest concern is she going to be able to carry these babies to full term? (another 18+ days)
My dates are based on her first tie. She had 4 more ties for 4 more days after.
The male is 4.5 lbs & tiny framed as well.
I am scheduling an x-ray for her 50th day, but would really like to hear some expert advice to calm myself &  know ahead of time what I am dealing with.
I am more than happy to send along pics to show you just how large she is at this point already & why I am so worried.

ANSWER: Hi Tina. Is she eating/drinking ok? Is she still active? Yes, please send me a few pictures so I can see what you're taling about. It may help me give you a better answer. When you send me a picture, then I'll answer in more detail.:-)

QUESTION: another picture of Lilly for you.... taken morning of Jan 07 as well.

Answer
Poor girl! You'll have to get her a skate board soon.:-) Dogs have an amzaing ability to carry really large litters. If she's doing fine right now, then I wouldn't worry too much. Keep an eye out for any odd behaviors, and colored discharge. If she quits drinking/eating, runs a temp, shakes a lot, get her to the vet. I would still make sure she gets some kind of exercise, even if it's just running around the yard. This will help during whelping, especially if she's carrying a large litter that could stretch the uterus making whelping hard. I'd take her in for some x-rays after day 50, and see what you're looking at. If she makes it to day 58, they have a great chance. Let me know if I can help with anything else, and please let me know how many pups this poor girl has.:-) I'm guessing 6.
