Breeding for perfection

Question
I have a beautiful female Boxer that had puppies 18 months ago to a solid fawn. All the pups were flashy, but only one had a full white collar like his mom.  Could I breed her with a brindle that has a full white collar, or find a fawn with a full white collar.  Her father is all white
so I will make sure the stud I pick has no solid white in his backround.

Answer
Hi Becky

Brindle is a dominate color, so the majority of the pups will be brindle.

You need to line-breed your female with a male that is related to your female that also has the full white collar that you are looking for.  This will give you the highest chance of getting that, and even then you may have to line-breed twice.

This is a very small trait that you are breeding for. In my opinion, color should be the last thing you breed for with temperament being the first.
