lab puppy

My Chocolate Lab is 9 years old and she just had her first puppy.  The puppy and my dog looks fine but I don't know how many she should of had or if there is anymore in her.  It's been a day and there is only one.  Is it possible she has only one?

Hi. Because of her age, it's very possible that she had only one. However, I suggest getting her to your vet for a check up. Also because of her age, her labor may have just stopped, with pups still inside of her. If something is left in her, it can set up a nasty infection and even cause death. The vet will most likely give her a clean out shot and may take an x-ray to see if there's anymore pups in there. Good luck.
