Our Aussie mix is about 7 months old. At what age do they normally start going into heat?

Hi Staci. I'd start watching for her heat cycle now. I usually start to keep an eye on my girls when they hit 6 months. Mine is a larger breed, and they usually don't go into heat for the first time until they're 1 year old or older. I like to be safe though, and since your's is a smaller breed, they tend to go into heat earlier. Start watching now just to be safe. I'd say you should see a heat cycle anytime between now and a year old.
