Question
QUESTION: my jack russell has given birth to 5 pups 7am she finished but she is still pushing could she still have more pups and there is still another one in there ive fellet it move and its came up in a lump could she have more

ANSWER: Hi Karen

It's possible that there is another pup, but you want to also watch for the after birth.  It's a big lump of blood and tissue that needs to be expelled.

Getting her up and walking will help shift and get this moving again.

Good luck.

Answer
As I mentioned, you can start by getting her up and walking.  Put her on a leash and walk her around the yard, if there is another pup it will get it moving down.

If you didn't do x-rays to get an idea of how many pups to expect, then anything is possible.

If she is still straining, take her to the vet for a shot of oxytoxin and x-rays, that is the only reliable way to tell if she is still experiencing labor.
