Question
I have a JRT of 1 and half years old.  He has a lovely calm temperment and is friendly with children and all animals (including cats).  A neighbour has asked if i would let him breed with her female JRT.   If i allow him will his temperment change in the future, perhaps getting cross etc.

Answer
Hi Patricia

Once the a male is used for breeding.  That's all he will want to do.  He will go looking for a female to mate with and be harder to keep in the yard and the territory marking will begin.

If you are considering studding him out, ensure that the females have Brucellois testing done prior to breeding.  This STD can be detrimental to your male.

Good luck
