What is ok to put on a nursing dogs nipples.The puppies are 4 weeks old have teeth now and sharp claws I'm afraid mama dogs nipples are quite sore.

Hi Pam. Thee's not much you can put on a nursing dog's nipples. Just make sure that the puppies' nails are kept clipped, and keep her breast area clean with a warm, wet wash cloth. Besides that, there's really not much you can do at this time unless you wean the pups. Good luck.
