About how many liters should you breed a bitch before retiring her? Also i have read several times and my veterinarian said if i skip heats it could cause cancer due to hormonial levels. Have you ever heard of that?

It depends on the female.  What is her mental and physical health like?  Was each pregnancy natural?  

Each pregnancy is draining on a female, so it's important to keep your breeding females in top shape and fed the best food possible.

I have heard the story about the hormonal levels. Each female should be taken on an individual basis and working with a top notch vet is your best bet.
