ENGLISH BULLDOG HEAT CYCLE

HELLO I HAVE A 1 YEAR OLD FEMALE ENGLISH BULLDOG THATS ON HER SECOND HEAT, BUT THIS HEAT SEEMS TO BE STAYING ALOT LONGER THAN IT SHOULD I TOOK HER TO THE VET IN HER 4 WEEK AND NOW ALMOST AT THE END OF HER 5TH WEEK IS THIS NORMAL???   TY FOR YOUR HELP CHRIS

If you took accurate record keeping and she didn't "go in and out and in again".   Sometimes a female will go into "pre-heat", where they swell but there is not bleeding.  Then a few days or week later her true heat comes in.

If she doesn't have an odor (which can indicate pyometra) I would wait it out.  If it continues for another 10 days, I would take her for a check up.
