Question
Ok so about 2 weeks ago my 1 year old Husky girl had a litter of 5 full bred healthy pups(I know too young it was accidental)any ways how would I know if the pups are getting enough to eat? Would they cry all the time. I notice they cry once in awhile then just fall asleep. Im wondering if my Dam is producing enough Milk cause when I squeeze her teats I dont get Milk. Shes eating like 4 cups of High Quality Dog food called Evo and im even adding a can of food to help and shes drinking alot of water. Im just wondering how would I know there getting enough to eat. Also she doesnt sleep with them she sleeps on the side of the whelping box and goes in every couple hours to feed is that normal. Thanks sorry for the long question

Answer
HI Daniel. If the pups aren't getting enough milk, they'll cry all the time. Their bellies won't be round and full. The best thing to do for mom right now is to free feed her. Let her have access to food constantly. Watch the pups when they nurse. If they seem to nurse for a really long time, then they're most likely not getting enough milk. They'll get tired and give up. Mom's breasts should be full. It's fine for her to not sleep with them, as long as she's still feeding them, and the room is warm where they're kept. Check their toe nails. If they get too long, mom may not want to nurse them much. Use a human fingernail clipper, and just take off the tips. Good luck!
