QuestionIs there a difference between CPR and AKC and so on? My husband bought me a Toy poodle and was told that he was registrable, but when he picked him up the paper work was for CPR not AKC. I have mailed the papers off with the $10 fee but I am not sure what I have paid for, can you help me sort this out? thank you so much
AnswerHi Barbara
You can register him and get a certificate that says he is a recognized breed with a pedigree. But CPR indicates that he is to be a pet only and not for breeding.
If you were to use him as a stud, his pups would not be recognized.
