Good Morning Ma'am,

I have an offer use my pom as a stud, I've never been done anything like this before, is there a set price i should ask for, for the "stud" fee? Also this is going to sound kind of silly, but will he get emotionally attached?

Stud service can either be tricky or relatively painless, depending on the parities involved.

Some stud owners ask for a pup back, some ask just for a monetary value.

If you are going to ask for compensation, the stud owner should guarantee something, especially if the male is unproven.  For example, 2 number of pups or a repeat breeding.

The male will not become emotionally attached to the female, he will however, discover his "ability" and may be a little harder to live with.
