Answer
Hi. First thing to do is to find the Bulldog's Club web site. It will have a ton of information on it about the health problems about your breed, health tests that needs to be done before breeding, and problems with the breed. This will be your first stop. Next, find out if your girl's mom was bred naturally, or had to have an A.I. Also, find out any problems that her mom had whelping and such. Some of these problems can be inherited, or they may be predisposed for them. It would be great if she came from a line of free breeders and whelpers. Next thing, you'll need to read up on A.I. and c-sections just in case she may need them. Also, you'll want to research her pedigree. If you have a 5 generation pedigree, that would be best. This will let you know what dogs are behind her, and any health problems that may be behind her. This way, you'll also know which pedigrees to avoid when breeding her, you don't want to double up on any bad. I have some really good web sites if you're interested, just let me know.
