Looking for standard poodle stud

Joyce I have a standard poodle 14 months and I am looking for a stud in the Michigan area do you know what i should do to find her a mate.  Also if she is 14months when will she see her period?  Thanks Louise

Hi Louise -- I would check with the local Standard Poodle club in the Michigan area.  Look for a reputable breeder who is involved in the breed.

If your female has never come into heat at 14 months, that is a "red flag".   Typically a female will come into heat the first time between 6 - 9 months, and then every 6 - 7 months after that.  If she hasn't had a heat, have her thyroid checked by a vet, she could be having issues.
