Pregnant Havanese

Hello Joyce,  I have a pregnant Havanese who is coming into her 5th week.  My problem is that she will not eat her regular "high end" dry food and it really bothers ME.  She won't touch anything that she used to like such as chew bones, etc.  What do I feed her as I worry that she isn't eating.  Also, I was told to start to switch her to Puppy food this coming week.  What Brand is the best?

That happens, tastes can change during pregnancy. It the brand you purchase now comes in a canned formula, try adding that to her kibble.

You should never, never, never put a pregnant female on puppy food because it causes the pups to grow larger AND that is where the issues can arise, in whelp.   Better to feed the good quality kibble and feed puppy after the pups are born.
