pregnant daschund

My pregnant daschund is ready to give birth. She has been leaking fluid since friday 7/23/10. She has been acting really different of course, but i have been taking her temp 2x a day since friday. The temp. has been fluxuating up and down. Last night is was 99.1. This morning it was at 100.3 and now at 8pm it is at 98.7. Do you think she's almost ready to give birth? She is also very clingy to me and this is also her first litter.

Does she have a whelping box with old towels or newspaper?  She needs a place to safely birth this litter.

Everything from sleeping in the sunshine to putting her feet in water can raise and lower her temperature.  What day is she?  Gestation is 63 days.  

Her mucus plug can start to leak up to 10 days prior.

The best thing to do is boil some water and make a nice cup of tea, and settle down with a good book, but you can't set your clock by Mother Nature.
