Breeding age for Doberman

Hi Cindi,
Im going to Breed my Doberman bitch, but as this is the first time I have bred a dog I was just wondering on what is the best age for her to have the pups?. She is currently 2 yrs 3 months and will be coming into season again this month.

She should be old enough Melissa. Make sure you have her prepregnancy vet check done asap. Have her checked for vaginal stricture and any other issue that could interfere with whelping. Assuming that you've already done your genetic testing then you should be ready to go :).
Be sure you get a brucellosis (current) on the male that you choose and on your female ten days prior to breeding,
