Staffy strange heat cycle?

Hi,
I have an 11 month old American staffy who had her first heat, it was a text book heat cycle starting 9 weeks ago, all seemed  ok but after about 2 weeks her tits started to swell and we thought that maybe someone got to her and was pregnant, but she never got a belly etc, but her behavior changed back to like when she was a young pup chewing shoes etc. Now it seems she is in heat again, her tits are still swollen but I haven't noticed her vulva to be swollen or any bleeding but she has been searching for a male and males have been coming to her, and she has been accepting him, what do you make of this, is she in heat, I'm totally perplexed can you help?

What age is your female now?  Just trying to determine the time between cycles.  

This sounds like a "pre-heat", "false heat" or a thyroid condition.  I would put her on Omega's and/or supplement to get her system back into check.  If on the other hand, it's a thyroid condition, you may want to reconsider your plans for using her in your program.
