Answer
Hi Darren. First thing you have to do before you even think about breeding these dogs is to find out what genetic diseases your breed has, and test for them. Then, if they pass, and are really good examples of the breed, when they are atleast two years of age, then you can breed them. If mom does really well with her first pregnancy, whelping/taking care of the pups, you may breed her on her next cycle. If you do this though, then she needs atleast a year off from breeding. Or, you can breed her every other cycle. In my opinion, a female dog should only have 2-3 litter in her whole life. I know other breeders say that you can breed them more, this is just my opinion, and what I follow. P.S. You will find tons of different answers, as everyone goes by what they think is best. Everyone has different opinions on what they think is right. Good luck! :-)
