Could she be pregnant?

I have a 12 month old male Maltese and a 6 month female maltese.She came on her 1st heat on 6 march and we tried to keep them apart but 3 times he has got to her, on 16th,17th and again on 19th of march, and each time they were "locked".Am i wrong in thinking its not until 3rd week that she can become pregnant?

Normally dogs are receptive to the male on their thirteenth day and after. However that is counted from the very first day that any sort of discharge is noticed, you could easily have been off, in your count. Since the thirteenth day is optimal for breeding your male tied her pretty much perfectly to produce pups. Or possibly she just ovulated sooner. If your bitch stood , and they tied. Three times, whether accidentally or not, then you are going to have pups , at least there is a more than LARGE chance. Your little female is way too young. I personally would take her to the vet and have the abort shot given, separate her from the male until she is completely out of heat. This baby having babies would be like a twelve year old child giving birth. Don't put her through the risk
