Stud Maltese v.s. pet?

I have an AKC unlimited registered male maltese with 3 CH. bloodlines that I bought at 10 weeks. He is now 18 months and 5 lbs. As he grew up he developed one lower canine tooth that protrudes. Should this be a reason not to use him as a stud.

Hi Cheryl.  Tooth crowding can be a genetic default, but one that can be taken care of by a good dog hygienist.  I don't see any reason this should keep you from breeding your Maltese.
