How can I tell when my jack russell is about to have her puppys?

Hi Natalie. About 24 hours before contractions start, she'll probably dig like crazy, pant, and may even try to find a place to hide. She may go off of her feed. You can take her temp. If you do this, start about a week to ten days before she's due. Take it once in the morning, and once in the evening. If the temp goes down to about 98.0 or lower, then labor should start within 24-48 hours. Good luck!
