Blue male

Hi there,
I am looking for a mate for my silver girl. I was thinking of using a blue dog. What sort of colours would I get. Is blue dominant? I have been told that if I use a black dog then all pups will be black.

For your silver girl, what color where her parents and grandparents?  

When considering a breeding you need to go back about three generations to determine what colors are in the background.

Typically, the darker colors, like black are more dominant.  You want to breed with a white or blue to keep the silver in the gene pool.
