Question
QUESTION: I have a female boxer she will be 1 yr old on the 22nd. I want to breed her with a male boxer of a friend of mine. She has allready had one heat and I have been told the second or third or the best heats to do it.  How long do you recomend I wait.  I want to insure that I don't do it to early and cause undue stress on my beautiful girl!  Thank you for your help.  Amanda

ANSWER: Hi Amanda. It's best to wait until she is two years of age, or as close to 2 that you can. Boxers are a slow to mature breed, they need longer to finish growing physically and mentally. If I can help with anything else, let me know!

QUESTION: Is it true that the more times a pair lock up the more puppies you will get?  What are the chances of a male with only one testical being able to produce off spring?

Answer
No, that's not true. If you allow the dogs to breed many times, what you could end up with are premature puppies, that may or not make it. A dog with one testicle shouldn't be bred, as he can pass this on to his offspring, although he can in fact sire puppies.
