my dog ran away and retured 5 weeks later very pregnant whitch is now 4 weeks ago she was full of milk when she came back and has had a clear discharge for about a week now and for the past 4 -5 days milk can be expressed from her nipples and today she has mucus discahrge i havent been taking her temp when do you think shell deliver how long should i wait to see a vet how many pupies can i expect

once milk leaks out you usually have pups within 32hrs but that doesnt include you squeezing it out. i would take her temp 3 times per day until you see it drop below 99 and should have pups within 12-24hrs. but if she doesnt have pups within 3 or 4 days i would take her into the vet to get a xray and they can inform you more on how much longer or whats going on. or you could just wait it out to see what happens. as long as she isnt straining for a long period of time then she should be ok. the normal size litter is around 6 but you never know. an average size litter of boxer pups is 6 and my 2 boxers had 11 pups so you can never be sure. if you take her into vet and get her xrayed they will tell you how many pups. this doesnt usually cost that much. hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
