unborn puppys

I have a English bull dog five days away from giving birth she had some green discharge. the vet said that one of the puppies had probably died. will this harm my dog or any of the other puppies

Hi Matt. You're right to be concerned. It can set up an infection, or cause labor to be slow, or even stop. I'm not sure if you have already made an appointment to have a c-section done, if you haven't, I'd be asking my vet about going ahead and having it done. She's really close to her due date, and the pups should be fine. I hope that everything's ok!
