Pregnant German Shepherd?

How do I tell if my German Shepherd is pregnant? It feels like she has some "stringy and tough tissue" just under her tits that runs the length of her belly but her belly is not huge and if our calculations are correct she should be about 55 days along.  Should it be very obvious by now? Will she leak milk before birth?

Hi Bailey -- at 55 days you could take her in for x-ray's and check.  That will also give an indication on how many pups to expect.  At that stage she should be noticeable unless she is only carrying one or two pups.

She may or may not leak milk prior to whelp, each female is different.
