German Shepard in heat

I rescued a female German Shepard 2 weeks ago.  She is aproximently 5 years old. when i got her she was in heat bleeding heavy about 1 week after i got her her bleeding lightend up and was pinkish in color. which i thought she was coming out of heat. but as of 2 days ago she started bleeding heavy again and its bright dark red! Is this normal and how long might this last? all info would be very helpful

Hi Justin,  She needs to see a Vet as this is not normal ;  She needs to be spayed ;  My rescued bulldog did this kind of bleeding too.  She had some cysts on her ovaries ;   It was taken care of during the spay surgery ;
PLEASE call a local VET - tell them she is a Rescue and ask if they can give you a possible discount on her spay surgery
