Hi I have a 5 week pregnant beagle she has a brownish discharge which has been on and off for the last 2 days she is a little with drawn from our male beagle but just wants to cuddle up with us is this normal . This is her 2nd litter she had 4 pupps with c/section delivery. Kind regards Linda

Hi. She needs to get to the vet. Any colored discharge before the birth of the first puppy needs to be looked at. It could be that she's reabsorbing them, she could have an infection, she could have pyrometra which can be deadly, there are too many could-be's. I would get her to the vet first thing tomorrow and have her looked at. Good luck!
