breeding my Australian Shepherd

Hi, my Aussie is just now 6 months old and my family and i would like to breed him, but we're not shure when the right time is. I've been hearing from alot of people that 2 years is when you should start concidering it, but is it possibe that mabey we could try sooner?

You could breed him earlier but you aren't doing him or the breed a service. You should wait to see how he's turns out mentally and physically.  

At a year plus you can see if he has any traits (negative or positive) that would be carried on to his off-spring.
