boxer in labour

can u please help our boxer is 4 years old she started we think in labour yesterday morning th heavy panting started around 1 pm we r now 10.10 am the next day nothing has changed she is still heavy panting she is doing a lot of licking, about 8.25 we saw some clear fluid come out of her valva but nothing seems to be happening apart from the heavy panting. should we be worried do we need to contact the vet please help thankyou

Hi Sharon. They can do the panting and digging for up to 24 hours before whelping starts. However, you said that she passed some clear fluid, and still nothing. I'd make a call to the vet just to be on the safe side. He'll probably want to have a look at her to see what's going on. Good luck, and please let me know how it goes.
