Answer
Hi Lauren! You can ask as many questions that you want. If I can answer them, I'll be happy to. :-) That's why I'm here. I'll answer these questions in the order you wrote them.

1. how long have u been breeding boxers? About 8-9 years now. I've had Boxers for over 12 years.

2. what made you want to become a dog breeder? I got my first Boxer, and became fascinated with dogs. I wanted to know everything I could, I'm still learning. I wanted to try to produce healthy, sound, typey Boxers for others, and myself. I wanted to try to give to others what I had found in my own dogs. Sounds kind of corny, I know, but it's the truth. I also enjoy the medical and genetic part of dog breeding. It keeps me on my toes.

3.why did you choose to breed boxers over other breeds? I lucked into my old male when he was 8 weeks old (over 12 years ago), and fell in love with the breed. To me, there is no other breed for me or my family. There's just something about them. They're beautiful, strong, intelligent dogs. I have other favorite breeds as well, but only wanted to concentrate on the Boxer for breeding. I believe that when you get into breeding two or more different breeds, it can be pretty hard to keep up with. The Boxer has enough health problems in itself to keep a person who is committed to the breed concentrated on it alone. It's a hard breed to figure out, health, conformation, and temperament wise. I really enjoy a challenge. I believe that you have to be dedicated to breed this breed.

I hope that I have answered your questions, and I look forward to more!:-)
