Hello I have a 3 year old Blue Female Pitbull that i have tried to mate with now 3 diferent male pitbulls. when the male dog is doing his thing right before they are going to get stuck my female dog refuses & snaps at male dog, do you have the answer?

Hi Fred. Some girls just get hateful during their heat cycle. :-) I know that sometimes with your breed that they can get pretty agressive while breeding. Some breeds are that way. A lot of pitbull breeders will muzzle the dogs during breeding. You may need to try this. First of all, make sure that she's in the right part of her cycle to be bred. Then, you may need to consider a muzzle. Some people even use sedation, but I wonder why would a person want to breed a dog that has to be sedated to be bred. You can always resort to A.I. You may also want to take her in for a check up just to make sure that she doesn't have something going on physically that makes her act that way. She may be in pain.
