Weaning puppies

I have 7 boxer puppies who are turning 3 weeks this thursday, the thing is the mom is hesitant to feed the pups. I think its because their teeth are coming out now, she will still lay with them but I am not sure if she feeds them enough since sometimes they will whine and eat some of the puppy canned food that I give her. Question is should I start feeding them puppy food? or can this cause them to get sick?

They can start on a quality canned food.  You may have to warm it up and add a small amount of goat or evaporated milk.  They will of course, still need to nurse once or twice a day off their dam as they get all their immunities from her.
