Please can u tell me how much afterbirth should there be when she has had her pups,is it any shape and how many pieces should there be she is due within the next 24hours thankyou

Hi. there should be one placenta for each puppy. It should be one piece for each puppy. It might be brown, no particular shape. make sure you count each one. Within 24 hours after her giving birth, you may want to take her to the vet to get a shot of oxytocin to make sure everything's out, it also helps with milk production. good luck!
