hi i have an 11mth old female beagle and a 14 mth old male the female has been on heat for 3 days tonight i found them stuck together is there a any chance that she could be pregnant someone told me that she cant fall until after day 9 we had planned on taking her to my mums tomorrow but now this has happened we have taken her tonight until she is off heat as i am worried because she is so young regards Linda

Hi Linda. Please forgive me in the delay of getting back to you. yes, there's a good possibility that she may be pregnant. There's always that possibility when dogs breed. A dog doesn't have to ovulate on any certain day, so it can happen early in the cycle. Each dog is different. If she was standing and flagging for the male, then she may have been in the right time of her cycle. She may have also been in heat longer than you thought, but didn't show signs of it. My best advice would be to talk to your vet, tell him your concerns, and see if he can come up with a good option to your delima.:-)
