how much to feed at 5 and a half weeks pregnant

Question
my cavoodle is at the most 5 and a half weeks pregnant. she was mated between the 20 th and 27th of july. all of a sudden in the last week its become really noticably that she is pregnant. last time she didnt show this early and she had 5 pups, so im thinking there could be more this time. i feed her wet food at night and leave her half a bowl of dry food during the day. she is not fussed on dry food and will only eat it if nothing else comes(she is searching for food all the time). how soon should i start increasing her food intake. and how many times a day. as i dont want to make her fat. last time she had a text book delivery. but i cant remember when i changed how much i fed her. im pretty sure though that i changed her to puppy food about 5 days before she was due.if you could let me know that would be great. thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Leanne. I usually start to up their food when they become more interested in eating. Feed three small meals a day, this will help her belly. I personally don't change to puppy food, though I know that some breeders do. If you're going to, you may want to go ahead and do that now as well. Up her food about half a cup at first and see if that's good enough for her. Just make sure she gets plenty of exercise.
