pregnant 6 month old boxer

I JUST ADOPTED A 6 MONTH OLD BOXER AND SHE IS IN HEAT BUT MY MOM THINKS SHE'S PREGNANT CAUSE HER NIPPLES ARE BIG AND THE GUY THAT I JUST GOT HER FROM HAD A DOBERMAN. WHAT DOES WHELPING MEAN?

Whelping is the term used when the female is in labor, birthing the pups.

If she is 6 months old that is far to young for a large breed female to successfully whelp and rear a litter.  

If she's in heat, she can't be pregnant.  If you just got her, and she was/is in heat, it would be advisable to take her to the vet for a "morning after" shot.
