Is my dog pregnant??

I have a 4 1/2 year old, 6 pound female yorkie. She gave birth to a litter of puppies on januaury 5 of this year, since the pregnancy didnt go as expected we decided not to breede her again, but there now its septemeber and she started to produce milk again. i thought that this only happens when day/weeks before the female dog is ready to give birth. I let her out in the mornings to go use the bathroom but to my knowledge even though she has gone into heat again she hasnt mated with anyother dog. will any thing else cause her to start producing milk or is she probably pregnant again??

She could have gone into a silent heat, one where you didn't notice. Which is common with the small dogs.

If you are certain she wasn't bred, the cause is most likely a false pregnancy.   That's where after a season, they get all the signs, from putting on weight to producing milk, but without the end result of pups. Her body tricks her into thinking it's carrying.
