chihuahua spotting

I have a 8yr old chihuahua who is pregnant for the third time. #he first two times she gave birth was perfectly fine, now i'm worried for her. She fine at most time she eats, drinks and goes normal to the bathroom, but since yesterday she started to spot blood(very little) for a very short moment, I figure she getting ready to deliever, so this morning there was no pups I seen on her bed so I guess she's not ready yet. Until today I ask my boyfriend if she ok today since i'm at work he said she fine but now there's very little white fluid coming out. Could she be having a miscarriage? 3 don't know what to do and i'm afraid for her. Pls help me asap. Thanks

Hi Lindsay. The white fluid coming from her may be her mucus plug. After she losses that, she should go into labor within 24-48 hours. However, because of her age and the blood, I would take her into the vet for a check up just to be safe. Any colored discharge before the birth of the first puppy is a red flag, and needs to be investigated. I hope everything is ok.
