Dog doing strange things after having litter

Our mixed breed small dog had puppies a week ago today. Everything went fine. She is taking really good care of pups. Now she is starting to act strange...chewing up things, whining all the time when she isn't nursing, picking up her full water and food bowls and carrying them around until she dumps them. Having accidents in the house etc...She even tore out a window screen on the sun porch yesterday. She's not being agressive, just strange.

Hi. Some moms go kind of nuts after having a litter, they do strange things. Did you get her a shot of oxytocin after she whelped? I would take her in to the vet for a check up just to be sure that there's nothing going on medically with her. If she' fine in that way, then you'll just have to wait her out, this behavior will stop eventually, but I would get a check up to be on the safe side.
