Breeding Jack russles

My friend in MI is breeding his 2yr old jack. Fell in love with his dog.(and the breed itself)Told me, I could have one of the litter. My question: We both don't know how long shes' pregnent for. (gestation,I believe)Could you please clear this up. Thanx. R E Burton in AZ

Hi Richard. A dog's pregnancy lasts 63 days. A normal pregnancy runs anywhere between 58-65 days. Count the first day they were bred as day one, count 63 days, or 9 weeks. That's her due date. If she was bred more than once, count from those days as well. That way, you'll know all of her due dates. I hope I helped. If you need anything else, feel free to holler!
