Phantom is not a breed but a color. Used typically by poodle breeders, it's a term that has been around for years and years.  A phantom poodle could also be called bi-colored and the markings are similar to that of a Doberman.  There are black phantoms (black and apricot, black and red, black and silver, or black and cream), chocolate phantoms (brown and apricot), red phantoms (red and apricot), and silver phantoms (silver and cream). Phantoms are born with their markings and can be shown in obedience and agility events, but not in conformation.
