chihuahua still bleeding 5 weeks after having puppies

I have a chihuahua that had puppies October 29th and she still bleeds. Is this normal? It is hard for me to let her around the house because of the bleeding. It is not a tremendous amount but it is still bright red at times. There is no odor and she seems fine. I didn't know if this was normal or if she should be seen by the vet again? We took her to the vet when the pups were 3 weeks old and everything checked out then. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Carri

How many pups did she have and was it difficult whelp?

That seems to be a long time.  I would give her some Arnica.  You can purchase it at any health store in either a liquid or pill form.  It helps with internal bruising and bleeding.  One pill (or drop) twice a day for a couple of days should help.

If it continues longer than another week.  I would head back to the vet to ensure that there was no internal damage.
