my lab is 5 years now why dident she ever have pups  she was mated sevral times   and how old have they got to be to stop mating for pups

Hi Chriss

If your female is 5 been bred several times and never produced a pup -- I would think that there is a problem.

The older they get the harder it will become.  A female is born with all the eggs she's every going to have.  I would have her checked by a vet to see if she "wired" for the job, and if not, I would have her spayed.
