6-4 week-old chinese crested

HI,I am just wondering how old should the puppies be before I introduce water or soft food.Things have changed since I last had little ones around.But these are beautiful,healthy guys.they weight between 1.9 and 2.4lbs.3 hl girls
and 3 puff boys thank you for your time.steph

Hi Stephanie. Well, I usually start them at about 3-4 weeks. Simply because my girls usually give motherhood up at that time. :-) If mom wants to keep feeding them, then continue on till they're 6 weeks. The longer mom feeds them the better. If you can get her to nurse them until 6 weeks, then start to introduce puppy food soaked in water. Some people start them at 5 weeks. It's really a personal preference.
